What is your favorite memory from last summer?

My favorite memory was getting to watch my boys compete against each other during color war.

What did you learn from your experience last summer?

Being able to adjust to the different personalities of the kids helps you not only make the summer easy but also helps you connect with them more than just as a mentor.

What are you looking forward to most about the upcoming summer?

I’m excited to get back to my activity area, it’s just nice being able to teach new skills to the kids and seeing them use them and grow over the summer.

What advice do you have for staff who are going to be at Iroquois Springs for the first time this summer?

It’s okay to be nervous, but you will quickly understand why we all want to come back each summer. In camp you can be the best version of yourself if you give it everything you’ve got.

As a returner, how are you looking to grow this summer as a counselor?

I really want to challenge myself to step into a team player role with my co- counselors this summer and have better communication between everyone.
