THE POEM

El Dorado, a shining star The endless night is very far The Golden sun releases rays It’s the start of a victorious day
The sun reflects on all the gold Creating a scene for all to hold Abundance of riches and precious stones All different colors and all different tones
The Spanish heard myths and fairy tales Where only the rich and prosperous hail Pizarro went and took captives, but never found The city of paradise, a Golden town
After years of searching, the trails went cold It was lost forever, the city of Gold Pizarro gave up and the natives went free But there was something not everyone can see
El Drado was never about glory and gold It’s about memories you treasure and hold If you have the chance for adventure find it and go Iroquois Springs is our El Dorado
