THE POEM

We are Atomic.
Strong, determined, indivisible.
If separated, we will fall, which is why we have formed an eternal bond between
each and every one of us.

We are Gold.
Solid, glistening, valued. Energy flows through us tonight as we stand in the midst of our everlasting spirit.

We are Atomic Gold.
Spirited, willed, malleable. No matter how we may change, we will always remain as one.
We are two teams; blue and gold.
United, competitive, bonded. Just as atoms are fused together, we are joined together as one tonight.
We are Atomic. We are Gold.
We are.. Atomic Gold

THE ESSAY

Close your eyes. Picture a black abyss with one small atom in the center. Now picture that atom emitting a gold light, growing larger by the second. That atom is forming one huge team that will never be broken. Our team is that atom: a small but integral part of the universe. Remember, the whole world is made up of atoms. The word atomic comes from the word “atomos” meaning “indivisible”. Indivisible means that we can’t be split up and that we stick together as a team. Just as we must stay united, an atom must stay bonded in order to work. If
an atom becomes divided, then it won’t exist. Just like the atom, our team must stick together through everything or we will cease to exist.

Gold’s athleticism and wisdom are the nucleus of our atom. It’s our spirit and energy that surrounds and protects that core. Every person must not only contribute to our fundamental values, but must also contribute to the
protection of the atom. Without our spirit and energy, we are nothing. By protecting the heart of our team, we will be successful.

Like metal gold, our team may have its imperfections, but we are still successful. Gold is a malleable metal, proving that, like our team, it can bend without breaking. Our team is flexible, which allows us to change strategies when necessary without falling apart. Flexibility is one of the reasons why gold is so valuable. Gold may not be the most rare of metals, but it’s hard to come by, just as a strong team, like ours, is difficult to find. With the power of the atom and the beauty of gold, we form an unbeatable team. Without all of our strengths, we
would never be the team that we are now. Atomic Gold will never be broken. Atomic Gold will never stop.

THE MARCH

(Melody: American Hi-Fi, “Flavor of the Week”)

(1, 2, 3)
The Gold Teams here,
Ready to fight (1) And we will win tonight
At the pool and at the track , (1)
Blue team, watch your back
Gold will win and Blue will fall (1)
At the games, and Marble Call (1)

CHORUS:
Atomic Gold will conquer all (1)
The Blue Team, they don’t know (1)
That we will (1) reign supreme
We’re (1) too strong (1)
So move on (1)
Gaia Blue will face defeat (1, 2)
Gold Team will dominate this week
(1, 2, 3)
Our goals are reached, we brought you down (1)
There’s no stopping us right now (1)
We have the skill, (1)
Our spirits high, (1)
This means more to us than Blue.
And we have all the heart and soul. (1)
Gaia you will pay the toll (1)

CHORUS:
Atomic Gold will conquer all (1)
The Blue Team, they don’t know (1)
That we will (1) reign supreme
We’re (1) too strong (1)
So move on. (1)
Gaia Blue will face defeat (1,2)
Gold Team will dominate this week!!
GO GOLD!!!!

THE ALMA MATER

(Melody: The Used, “Yesterdays Feelings”)

(1,2,3,4,5,6,7)
Summer skies
Are painted with subtle illusions
Of having to say our goodbyes
Seasons change
As golden leaves fall to the ground (1)
And I look around

Chorus:
Iroquois Springs these summers
Of memories will not be lost in time (1,2)
And today as time drifts away
Blue and gold remain in my mind (1,2)
Left the only worries I had
In the world (1) coming to my
Summer home
Looking back on times that
You opened my eyes, and
Let me into your heart

Chorus:
Iroquois Springs these summers
Of memories will not be lost in time (1,2)
And today as time drifts away
Blue and gold remain in my mind (1,2)

INSTRUMENTAL
(Guitars and drums)
Look into my eyes (1)
And I start to cry
Solo: As you stand there holding me
Chorus:
Iroquois Springs these summers
Of memories will not be lost in time (1,2)
And today as time drifts away
Blue and gold remain in my mind (1,2) It’s time that we must part

INSTRUMENTAL
(Guitars and drums)

DUET: Without you beside me
I’ll dream for you by me
TOGETHER: But we’ll meet again (1) I know in my heart
