THE POEM

“Aloha” has many meanings, and plenty speak to Blue;

Affection, peace, passion; these all apply to you.

Like our Hawaiian brothers, we create stories and songs,

And through these special moments, memories form forever long.

This is our island paradise, where legends come alive.

We may be Blue or Gold, but we are still one tribe.

And on this special night where we will come together,

Unfortunately, it is clear to see that half the tribe is better.

I mean, let’s be honest, it’s not really fair;

Gold Team—you winning is like Bubba growing hair.

Hawaiian Blue’s efforts are incredibly inspiring;

We can’t even be stopped by Bogard’s reckless driving.

Blue Team has reigned dominance throughout our long past,

And tonight we all know that this trend will not pass.

After tonight’s win you’ll all hopefully learn,

Your ropes only went down thanks to James Blackburn.

Now, I know that tonight, we have poked some fun,

But we all know, in the end we come together as one.

Just like the endless to-and-fro of the ocean tide;

Camp and our hearts, will be forever side by side.

Some stories have ended, while others have just begun;

This is the end of a chapter, and we’re writing another one.

While the time we have left is washing away,
